Spring is finally here in Oklahoma! Woo Hoo! We are so excited about the warm weather and wonderful colors of spring!
We were blessed with great weather for Michael and Jennifer's engagement session at the OU campus and downtown Oklahoma City. We started with M+J at OU campus since this is where they met. They had also brought their doggies to their photo session, and of course we love to met new doggies and talk baby talk to them! Because that's how dogs understand humans right?? HAHA! We totally do this to our own dogs too! We next headed to Bricktown, the heart of OKC! M+J wanted a romantic city look and they totally rocked the look and feel! These images give us all the snuggles and all the feels! We always love ending the nights showing the OKC skyline!
We love sharing the story of how our couples met and their proposal story! Here is their story told by Jennifer...
We met in 2005 at the University of Oklahoma while we were pursuing our undergraduate degrees. We first met while volunteering at the Lunar Moon Festival fashion show for the Vietnamese Student Association. Although we were both freshmen at the time, we both had similar preconceived notions about each other. I(Jennifer) thought Michael was a typical Asian guy (TAG) and an upperclassman trying to flirt with the new freshmen girls. Michael figured I(Jennifer) was an upperclassman as well, since I was so outgoing and seemed to already know all the other volunteers. We eventually found each other in similar classes, we became friends and realized that we kind of liked each other.
On December 21, 2015, after 8 years of dating, Michael finally mustered up the courage to propose. He was moving away from Oklahoma soon and knew that it was time to make a commitment. While we were both visiting his family in Tulsa, Michael schemed a plan to surprise me. That morning, he took me shopping around the city and received a planned phone call from his brother Joseph. He said he was walking their two dogs at Woodward park and we decided to meet him there. When we had arrived at the park, no dogs or Joseph were to be found so of course we went searching for them. After pacing several times around the park wondering where they were, I finally came across a neatly wrapped gift box sitting on a park bench. I was confused when I first saw it, but after seeing Michael’s smiling face I knew something was going on. I opened the box and found a heartfelt note. Tears of joy and happiness flowed from my eyes as Michael bent down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Joseph came out from behind the bushes to capture their moment of happiness and still, and no dogs were to be found.
